Spectrum Labs, an AI-based content moderation platform based in Miami, Florida, has raised $32m through Series B funding.
Intel Capital led the round with participation from Gaingels and Harris Barton as well as existing investors Wing Venture Capital and Greycroft, Ridge Ventures and Superset Capital. Divya Sudhakar (Intel Capital’s investment director) will join the company’s board as part of the funding.
The company plans to use the funds for the expansion of its AI-powered content moderator platform for online communities to other areas of the enterprise. It will also develop applications for sales, human resources, and brand safety.

This allows Trust & Safety teams and to reduce content moderation costs and detect brand-destroying behavior. Natural Language Understanding technology is used to classify behavioral patterns using the company’s products. It is capable of recognizing 40+ toxic behaviors, including hate speech, violent extremism, and child sexual abuse material (CSAM), across 30+ languages. The platform uses its patented technology to allow moderation in any language.
