Twitter tests new search bar in its iOS app

2022 is just beginning, and Twitter already has some new features in its iOS app. The social network has now launched a search bar on the Home tab of the iPhone app, following an experimental option that allowed users to retweet posts with video reactions.

Twitter search currently has its own tab. However, the social network is looking to change this. The company announced via the Twitter support account that some users will see a search bar while browsing the Home tab in the Twitter app for iOS.

Twitter claims that the new search experience will make searching simpler and more intuitive. Users will be able to see it as soon as they open the app. This experimental feature is limited to a few users. However, you can always return to the regular Search tab at any time.

It’s not clear which users were selected to test the new search tool. However, the best way to make sure you get it is to have the most recent version of the Twitter App for iOS on your device.

Twitter announced Tuesday (via Social Media Today ), some changes to the way that users block content. Keywords, accounts, and any other content you have blocked on Twitter won’t appear in Explore, Twitter email, or suggestion notifications.

These changes are being made available to all users worldwide.
