U-Magic 505G is now available with a 5000mAh rechargeable battery and two stereo speakers

China Telecom sells telecommunications equipment in China and also offers services. It also sells smartphones in China under the sub-brand U-Magic. The U-Magic 50 (5G) is a low-cost smartphone that offers 5G connectivity as well as high battery endurance for entry-level customers.

The U-Magic 50 5G sports Qualcomm’s entry-level Snapdragon 480 5G SoC with a large 5000mAh battery to boot. This combination of the large battery and the efficient chipset makes the device last longer. The fundamentals of this device are acceptable for an entry level 5G smartphone, thanks to 22.5W fast wired charging.

The U-Magic 50 5G has a 6.5-inch, dewdrop-notch LCD display. It refreshes at 60Hz and has a screen aspect of 20:9 and a high ratio screen-to-body of 89.3%. The resolution of the device is not yet known, but it has been revealed in marketing materials.

The U-Magic 50 5G also has a pair of stereo speakers at the top and bottom. China Telecom claims the U-Magic 50 5G can deliver loud audio up to 86dB. If paired with Surround Sound 9.1, users will enjoy an even better audio experience.

Camera wise, the device only features a dual-camera setup. The main sensor is 13MP and the depth sensor is 2MP. The device doesn’t support NFC, charges via USB C and has a 3,5mm headphone jack. The phone’s dimensions are 163.9 × 75.9 × 8.95 mm and weigh 196g.

The China Telecom U-Magic 50 5G officially goes on sale in China on June 15th and will be available in only memory configuration – 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage for 1499 RMB (224 USD). There will be three colour options available to users: Matte Blue (Matte Silver), and Black.
