Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station announced that Vivo would launch a tablet featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. This demonstrates the high level of interest shown by the BBK group for the tablet market. Realme launched its first tablet in 2012 with the Realme Pad. It was, however, a budget tablet that came with the Helio G80 SoC, not the Vivo Pad. Oppo, another sister brand to Realme and Vivo, is also expected to release its first tablet soon. Vivo, another brand from the massive Chinese conglomerate, is aiming at the tablet market. It’s encouraging to see that the brand, unlike Realme with its Snapdragon 870 SoC, is offering something more than just the mid-range market. You can now find out more information about the tablet and possible prices.

This information comes from the trusted Digital Chat Station. He also provided some additional details, including the price range. He stated that the Vivo tablet will have a super-large, narrow frame screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also come with a battery of 8,000+ mAh with a rating of 7,860mAh. It is not clear if the display will come in an OLED or standard LCD form. This is an open question, as the tablet isn’t classified for mid-range. There is a demand for tablets with OLED displays in the market, but we should not wait to see if there are any.

It’s worth mentioning again the battery. A Vivo device thought to be a tablet was found on TUV’s website last summer with an 8,040mAh battery. The details of the rest of the specs are not known. The tablet will have 8GB, 12 GB, 128 GB, or 256GB, of RAM. A good selfie camera will have at least 8MP and a better rear camera. Vivo might surprise us even with its dual-camera setup. This is not a common feature on tablets but it is a plus.

According to the Digital Chat Station, we can also expect 44 W charging via USB Type C. According to the tipster, it will retail for CNY 2,000 (USD315 / EUR280) in China. Unfortunately, no information is available about international availability.

Vivo has yet to release any information regarding the launch of their first tablet. This information will be available in the coming weeks.
