Yomi Games Raises $2M in Seed Funding

Yomi Games, a Singapore-based Blockchain Gaming Studio, has raised $2M in Seed Funding.

Backers included Hypersphere Ventures, Infinity Ventures Crypto (IVC), Sfermion, Cultur3 Capital, Maveron, Momentum 6, Taureon, Kevin Lin, Dan Dinh, Thomas Vu, Alex Chung, Dan Sommer, Mike Ouye, Don Ho, Hubert Thieblot, and Jeff Kuan.

The company will publish several crypto mobile games in a range of casual genres. This will appeal to broad audiences and provide a gateway for gamers who are new to NFTs and crypto.

Yomi Games, led by Pavan Katepalli (CEO), is a blockchain gaming company that promotes social Play-and-Earn games for casual audiences. Oni Squad is the developer’s first non-fungible token collection (NFT), and Oni Mansion, its accompanying mini-game. Oni Squad’s 6,666 hand drawn generative Onis, or ghosts, are available as playable assets in Oni House.
