Zenbase Raises $4.1M in Seed Funding

Zenbase

Seed funding of $4.1 million was secured by Zenbase, a Calgary-based flexible rent payment company.

Global Founders Capital was the lead investor, Garage Capital and N49P were also part of the round.

The company plans to use the funds for expansion beyond Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and into Ontario, British Columbia, the Maritimes, and other provinces.

Zenbase’s CEO and founder, Koray Can Oztekin is leading the charge to allow residents to split their rent payments. They can choose a personal rent payment schedule, which will reduce their financial stress and increase resident satisfaction. Partnering with property management companies allows the company to increase rent collection on time and reduce operational overhead.

Zenbase members use its fee-free cash advances service to pay for groceries, gas, and utilities.
