Radi Almamoun, Expresso Senegal’s acting CEO, stated, “It is with great pleasure that Expresso Senegal & Zuri Health launch together with the health app, Zuri Health.” Ikechukwu Arthur Anoke, founder and CEO of Zuri Health, said, “Patients can now consult with a doctor starting at 30 CFA Franc.”

The entire chain will benefit from the combination of technology and healthcare. This works like this: Any Senegalese Expresso Telecom subscriber sends a keyword to 2808 to subscribe to the service. He then chats with his doctor via SMS.

The patient receives immediate and reliable answers from certified doctors, affordable healthcare and private and secure health information. Senegal’s majority of users don’t have access to the internet or smartphones. However, they can get first-level medical consultations from qualified medical professionals via SMS.

Expresso Senegal, a subsidiary of Expresso Telecom, is a mobile operator that offers services for calls, internet and SMS. It also provides business roaming and 4G technology solutions. Zuri Health is based in Kenya and taps into a vast network of doctors, pharmacies, and other medical professionals.

Disenfranchised people in Sub-Saharan Africa can access affordable and accessible healthcare services through diagnostic centers and laboratories.
